Lagos Fashion Series

Lagos Fashion Series is a curated expression of the city’s creative pulse, where designers, culture, and storytelling meet. Through powerful visuals and intentional styling, we spotlight the minds shaping fashion in Lagos, transforming their inspiration into timeless narratives the world can see, feel, and remember.

Lagos doesn’t follow fashion. It defines it.

In this first series, we featured three lagos brands rooted in craftmanship, heritage and artistry.

Josh Amor is a premium menswear house rooted in heritage, artistry, and the quiet power of regal masculinity. The brand is built on intention,  where every design is tailored to communicate power, presence, and purpose.

Josh Amor draws inspiration from African heritage, architectural form, and the discipline of modern tailoring. It explores how structure, proportion, precision and restraint can be used to express identity and individuality.

ASO was birthed from a desire to document the creative explorations of its founder and Creative Director, Ajide Daniels. Translating personal expression into wearable form.

Rooted in storytelling and driven by a curiosity for the future, the brand explores the intersection of culture, architecture, and identity. Each piece serves as a continuation of this journey, where fashion becomes a medium for both reflection and imagination.

Ola Reay explores the intersection of art and contemporary African expression.

This bridge is the representation of elevated artisanal artistry.

We are a Nigerian origin design label exploring with a focus on form, texture, and storytelling; often drawing from elevated handcrafted processes, and modern cross cultural silhouettes. With a design language that centers around refined detail- creating garments that are wearable art.

We are building a globally respected African origin luxury house that exports not only garments, but perspective, heritage, and innovation.

Heneiken Lagos Fashion Week 2018, What I wore Day 3 and 4

The last two days of Heneiken Lagos Fashion week 2018, had me in all shades of excitement, not only was i excited to see some of my all-time favorite designers show off their spring summer 19 collections, but i got to wear new pieces from my favorite Nigerian fashion brands.

On day 3, I wore this gorgeous oversize blazer, lacy corset and neon pants by sally Bawa, paired it all up with a waist purse and studded sandals.  Can you tell how comfortable i was and felt? like i would wear this outfit over and over again.

Day 4, which was the last day of fashion week, i wore this gorgeous two-piece suit by Isi atagamen fashion label. I remember when i went in for fittings and saw this piece, I knew this was the right outfit for fashion week, it held me in all the right places. lol

Hope you liked my fashion week outfits, which was your favorite?

A blogger’s guide to famous Instagram spots in London

Instagram spots in London_mayreejay

London has always been on my raider to visit all the amazing places it has, from cafes to iconic buildings, famous Instagram spots and loads of hidden gems.

It is definitely a blogger’s delight and I highly recommend that you plan to visit and experience all the goodies the beautiful city has to offer.

I made plans with London based fashion and lifestyle blogger @metrogypsie to go see some of the most “instragrammable” spots in London, call it the first series as we plan to visit new places yet again.

First stop was the famous farm girl cafe located in Notting hill, it is amazing Australian style cafe and they serve an amazing array of coffee, from there we moved to explore the beautiful colored houses in Notting hill, and then move to Harrods, and then to the famous Peggy Porschen’s Cakestore, and we ended the day at the much talked about beautiful Neal’s Yard just at convent garden.

To say we had such an amazing, fun filled day will be an understatement. we sure can’t wait to do it again.
