New York Fashion Week Day 3: The Shows

Day 3 of new york fashion week had me attending quite a numbers of shows. it was my busiest day  and  I had planned to make the most and best out of it as I usually would.

Right after seeing some shows at the fashion gallery which included prèt- é- porter. I went on to see shows by the Oxford fashion studio which presented 14 designers over the course of two shows at Pier 59 Studios. A Day At the New York City High Line, Hudson River and The Observatory.

Right after seeing  fashion Hong kong ( nyfw day one ) show during new york fashion week, I decided to take a walk and experience my immediate surroundings, what it revealed to me was more than breathtaking and I would cherish those moments for a long time. I figured it is only fair to share my experience with you, so here it goes….

The show held at Industria, Embedded in a vibrant neighborhood, walking distance to Diane von Furstenberg’s showroom and her personal apartment, it is also called Industria’s West Village, located steps from the Whitney Museum, Hudson River Park and the High Line. Just in case, you plan on visiting new york city any time, these are places you must see, it has very breathtaking scenery and perfect for photo and video shoots or just time off to relax with friends and loved ones.

The high line is a public park built on a historic freight rail line elevated above the streets of Manhattan’s west side. it is such an arty place, filled with art on every corner, arty installations and lovely gardens, all the way to the end of the rail line where you begin to see tall buildings, the observatory, and a view of the Hudson river park.

I tried my best to capture as much art as i could while walking the high line, such as some of the art exhibitions curated by artists round the Whitney museum.

Do make sure you visit the high lines any time you go to new York.

New York Fashion Week 2019; Day one

I have always dreamt of going to New York and being a part of new York fashion week, so when this golden opportunity knocked at my door , I not only leaped at it but jumped for joy.

It was such an amazing feeling to also get invited to designers shows during new York fashion week. I feel so blessed to finally realise this dream.

Let me take you on this new york fashion week journey with me and show you all I got on to.. without any more time wasting.

First up was Celestino couture’s fashion week presentation. The collection featured high fashion pieces, with ruffles, damask, really nice details with swaroski stones.

CELESTINO garments boasts unconventional details and innovative concepts married with the elegance of classical style. I really loved the collection.

My Favorite looks from CELESTINO

I also got to see four Indonesian designers ; Dian Pelangi, Itang Yunasz, 2 Madison Avenue and Alleira Batik. They sure put a spin on the FW19 collections which had intricate details like embroidered lace, bead work and crystals were woven into organic cotton silk, leather and satin. Many of the looks had the traditional Indonesian prints and head wraps, like hijabs and turbans.
