playing back the series of events that led to my London fashion week attendance still, gives me that nostalgic feeling. In my head, I’m saying please “take me back “. It was truly amazing all the way.
Just so i do not bore you with endless details, I will go right straight to it… This season I got the opportunity to not only attend shows by top designers but I got to be part of the styling team which enabled me to work alongside established fashion stylists and designers. So In 5days, I got to attend London fashion week main shows, fashion scout and fashions finest shows. which are major fashion shows in the London fashion calendar, just to let you know how big a deal it really is.
… first day of Lfw, the plan was to be stylishly comfortable and be shielded from the cold, lol hence why I wore this camo jacket paired with this patent leather pants, I know killer heels would have been extra fab but during fashion week especially when you have to walk to the next show or hop on the tube you definitely want to be super comfortable, except you can pull it off in heels.
I had about 5 shows or more each day,but first I went to see the designers showroom which really isn’t opened to the public but only to press, stylists, bloggers, and fashionbuyers so they can have a sneak peek of what some designers will be showing for spring summer 2018 and trend forecast for fall /winter 2017.
Nothing as good as getting captured for great style …
Day two and three of fashion week had me working backstage for fashionsfinestuk fashion shows which means I couldn’t attend tons of other shows .it really was an amazing experience, I got to work with the best team and style collections from over 20 designers, what an experience it was.
Day 4 of London fashion week started with me attending Paul Costelloe’s show as well as his presentation. This show was my highlight of the day as it featured the perfect colors, cuts and really nice silhouettes for spring summer 2018. See more HERE
I also got to see shows from fashion scout designers while sitting front row and highlights of Julien mac Donald’s show.
It is the last day of London fashion week and I must say it’s been an amazing roller coaster as I had to wake up super early each day,5 am to be precise, so I could get ready for the day’s shows and activities. Did I mention that once the shows start, no one will be allowed in irrespective of your status or allocated seating, so it’s very advisable to get to each show at least 15minutes before it starts.
Ended the day seeing shows from fashion scout designers and some highlights from Tommy Hilfiger first London show in over 20years .
It is safe to say that London fashion week ended with a Big Bang!!
Those last five days will always remain a huge reminder that anything you think and dream of can and will be your reality if you really believe and work hard towards it.
